Simply stated, I love what I do.

I love food.

I love thinking about it, reading about it, shopping for it, but most of all, cooking it.

It goes w/ out saying that I also love eating it.

I believe in celebrating life changing moments with amazing food and drink.

I believe in a substantial cocktail hour before dinner, allowing guests to relax and find the pace of the evening ahead.

I believe in tray passed hors d’oeuvres. Why ask your guests to work for their food? I also believe in bartenders. Self-help bars are really no help to anyone!

I believe in coordinating efforts with skilled event planners if the event size warrants it. This lets people shine where they do their best.

I am a native Chicagoan. That means I cannot help but look to the weather for inspiration. If one looks hard enough, even in our mild Southern California climate, they can find 4 seasons. I particularly love the foods of Autumn and Winter, although you won’t find them on my menus in the middle of July. “Seasonal Availability” and “Market Fresh” have become buzz words of our time. However, when you really think about it, that only makes sense. Who wants Watermelon Gazpacho in the winter or Osso Buco in July anyway?

I firmly believe in desserts.

I absolutely believe in referrals. Over a decade in this business has led me from one delightful person to another... all as a result of well fed and pampered clients oohing and aahing to their friends.

Simply stated, I love what I do.
